We built DCS Rank to be respectful of students and parents, and that includes how we treat your data.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and/or phone number, your target exam (NEET or JEE), grade, and target year. Parents who link to a student account provide their own contact details.
Performance data
As you use the platform we record mock test attempts, scores, accuracy, topic-level performance, study activity, and related signals. This is the core data that powers your personalized preparation.
Technical data
We collect standard technical information such as device type, browser, and usage analytics to keep the service reliable and secure.
2. How we use your information
- To provide adaptive mock tests, recovery recommendations, and rank insights.
- To show parents a calm, outcome-focused view of their child's progress (where a parent account is linked and consented).
- To process subscriptions and free trials.
- To improve the platform and develop new features.
- To communicate important account, security, and service updates.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (for example, payment processing and cloud hosting), and only as needed to provide the service. A linked parent can view a student's progress only with the appropriate account link in place.
4. Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
5. Your choices & rights
- You can access and update your account information at any time in Settings.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications.
6. Children's data
DCS Rank is intended for exam aspirants, many of whom are minors. We collect only the data needed to provide the service and encourage parental involvement through linked parent accounts.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
